Whether it is on a day trip or an extended overlanding trip, the air compressor is required to reinflate the tyres after traversing certain terrain. Letting out air does not only give a bigger footprint but is also much "softer" on the environment. A further benefit is that a vehicle with lowered tyre pressures needs to labour far less due to the better traction and flotation in sandy conditions. Air compressors are also ....

Equipping the Patrol for overlanding has been a considerable challenge. Information is scarce or non-existing in most cases. Most of the local suppliers have very little or no experience in the vehicle, which makes it difficult to find accessories or good advise.
